The honest answer is "it depends on the size and condition of your home" — but you can get much closer than that. Because Klean prices by the cleaner-hour ($60 per cleaner, per hour), we track how long every type of clean really takes. Here's what to expect.
Standard (recurring) cleaning
- 1 bed / 1 bath: 2 cleaners, about 1.5 hours
- 2 bed / 2 bath: 2 cleaners, about 2 hours
- 3 bed / 2 bath: 2 cleaners, about 2.25 hours
- 4 bed / 2.5 bath: 2 cleaners, about 2.75 hours
Those times are for a two-person team working together, so a 3-bedroom home that needs about 4.7 cleaner-hours is done in roughly two and a quarter hours on site. Recurring visits get faster over time because the home never gets far from clean.
Deep cleaning
A deep clean takes roughly 45% longer than a standard clean, because it adds baseboards, cabinet fronts, grout, vents, window sills and built-up grime. For a 3-bed, 2-bath home that's 3 cleaners, about 2.25 hours. It's the best first visit before a recurring plan.
Move-in / move-out cleaning
Empty-home cleans take the longest per square foot because we clean inside every cabinet, closet and appliance. A 3-bed, 2-bath move-out typically needs 3 cleaners, about 2.5 hours.
What makes a clean take longer?
- Time since the last professional clean
- Pet hair and heavy kitchen grease
- Clutter on counters and floors
- Extras like inside the oven or fridge
- Older homes with detailed trim and original windows
